“GOD at Work!”

Young people from our church family are serving Jesus in summer ministries… here’s how!

Our High School ASALT team makes an annual summer missions trip, and this year the ASALT team was in Chile from June 22nd to July 3rd! They worked in a town not far from Santiago called Viña del Mar and had the opportunity to share the gospel  through sports, story-telling and many other ways. The team had time for their own devotions and prayer each day in preparation for leading icebreakers, skits, crafts, sharing their testimonies, and teaching short devotionals in various settings.

The ASALT Team will give a report about their trip during both services in August, and you’re invited to join us to learn more about their ministry. And remember… ASALT is a focused ministry & leadership training for high school students – Sunday mornings at 8:30 through the school year.

Kara Kuskie went a 10 day mission trip to San Diego this summer from June 2nd through June 11th! During the San Diego Adventure mission, she focused on walking with God intimately, training in ministry skills, sharing the gospel in a number of contexts, discipleship, leadership development, and involvement in a small group bible study. Thank you for praying for Kara and the entire team- God worked in awesome ways during their training and learning!

Zoe Flynn was born and raised in a Christian home in Broken Bow, NE.  She started following Jesus in the summer of 2010. After shipping off to the University of Nebraska-Kearney in the fall of 2014, she met and was discipled by a Navigator. Since then Jesus has grown her heart for the Word and for young women to find freedom in Him and Zoe has been accepted for full-time ministry with the Navigators starting in the fall of 2018! She will be raising support for her ministry in spring and summer 2018.
The Navigators worldwide feels God’s calling to advance the gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among those without Jesus.   Support Zoe

Jahn Landrigan has been serving full-time with the Navigator’s campus ministry at UNL since the fall of 2017 and recently participated in our Missions Conference. You can find out more about what Jahn is doing and support Jahn by clicking this link Jahn Info & Support.

Katie Entz is serving at Victory Bible Camp in Alaska this summer. She writes “This summer I will be volunteering at Victory Bible Camps located near Sutton, Alaska. If this place sounds familiar, the ASALT team traveled here in the summer of 2009. I will be a wrangler counselor, so I will be using my love for horses to help teach kids how to ride. I will also be a counselor and share the good news of Jesus Christ with the campers. For those who do not know much about Victory I would compare it to Timberlake Ranch Camps in Central City, Nebraska. The funds I am raising will be to help cover some of my traveling costs. I will be in Alaska June 6th through July 23rd.”   Support Katie on GoFundMe   OR    Use BBC Online Giving
