"God's very nature is love and graciousness... our nature (ours and Jonah's) tends to be more selfish and comfort-oriented." But God loved them just like He loves you and me... amazing grace indeed!

    Running Away
    Series: Jonah
Jonah did not want to obey God - and sometimes neither do we! The Ninevites were cruel people and Jonah wanted them to be judged and destroyed, not given an opportunity to repent! So - he ran away!   Just like we do sometimes... we so badly want to live the American dream of comfort and prosperity that we disobey God and 'run away' from His will. Let's face it - following Christ is uncomfortable. But - it's also the only way to true peace and joy!

    The Suffering Solution
    Series: none
This Palm Sunday message begins with a Scripture reading of Isaiah 52: 13-53:12. This passage (and sermon) highlight that Jesus Christ was God's solution for the sin crisis caused by Adam & Eve in the Garden of Eden. The beautiful truth is that Jesus Christ didn't just pay for the guilt of our sin on the cross - He also overcame the power of sin in the resurrection! What an amazing life-changing truth!!
