    Consequences of Rebellion

Joshua 7 is a sobering reminder that rebellion always has consequences... there are no exceptions. Sin must always be dealt with, and Achan paid for his disobedience with his life. The beautiful part of the story (not fully understood at the time) is that Jesus, the Son of God, would come to this earth and pay for sin. Listen in - and thank God for His radical definition of fair!

YHWH Fit The Battle of Jericho
    Series: Joshua
Joshua 5-6 reminds us of 2 things 1) God is going to fight for His people   and   2) God's methods of achieving victory and 'success' are often different from our methods! Not many military commanders would employ a "march around the enemy" strategy - but the Creator of the rocks that Jericho;s walls were made of did! And He expected His people to obey, and when they did - He came through just as He said he would!!

The Bible tells real stories of real people - like Rahab, the pagan prostitute who believed in YHWH to save her. God (YHWH) forgave her, saved her, and eventually made her part of the lineage of Jesus Christ! God's saving power can change anyone and use them for His purposes - even the least likely to succeed!
