Mission: Ignite Disciples

Discipleship is as easy as P.I.E. I need you. You need me. We need Jesus
— Bill Allison
  • ASALT is an accountability discipleship group for high school students. ASALT stands for “A Special Attitude in Leadership Training.”

  • ASALT is for high school freshmen through high school seniors.

  • The ASALT Team meets at the BBC West Campus in the upstairs furnace room. They meet each Sunday at 9:30 AM. They will also meet and do other activities throughout the year.

  • Jonathan and Tess Jones have been faithfully leading the ASALT Team for several years.

  • Several years ago now, Jonathan and Tess were asked to consider taking over the ASALT Ministry. They prayed and felt the Lord’s leading to take on this pivotal ministry. WHY?? At a Todd Becker event, they were told that about 70% of teens walk away from their faith during their freshman year of college. This statistic was alarming to say the least. The Lord stirred in their hearts the need to Ignite Disciples amongst the youth in our church. They have the desire to give youth the skills, knowledge, and opportunity to grow them in their faith now so that they can be confident disciple-makers when they step into the next chapter of life.

Disciple-making Way of Life

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
• 1 Thessalonians 5:17 •

We encourage members of the ASALT Team to sit together in the front third of the church. This is encouraged, not required.

Fundraising for Trip

We will work together as a team to raise the funds for our mission trip each year.

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks the oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies-in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To Him belong the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
